First buck

November 1975. My first buck. Even though it was just a little two-point, I felt as though I was finally living the adventurous life of a hunter.
It was great living in Montana. The hunting grounds were just outside of town. I could even get an excused absence from school to go hunting if a northern storm blew in.

Anyone care to share photos of their first bucks?

"Oh my" 1st buck photo,probally in B.W.being it was in the early 60 s',but always a BIG "Congrats" to all FIRST of any species.in Early 70's use to travel to the East side of Mont while living in Libby,Mont.to hunt Muleys,two tags back then for deer,A&B,many a "Forkies" went down back then.A few Seasons back while hunting in a LATE Nv deer hunt,and Glassing some "180" class Bucks,chasing Does,but looking for a "BOONER"My hunt Partner said to ME,"Rember back when WE both shot Forkies and hunting was FUN". Rembering back to those 1st. Photos.Good Luck to ALL those 1st in "2004" ---

My first (any maybe several after) buck was a forkie. Got him on opening morning at first light. 100yds double lung shot with my dad at my side. It really boosted my shooting confidance because right before that I has some hard luck nanny goat hunting.
