Oregon's Whitehorse Unit

Applied for this unit with 3 points. Hoping to draw. Can anyone share any information about good areas to try? Not looking for anybodies "honey hole", just a point in the right direction. I'm in WA, so if I draw, I'll be going down a few times to scout.

I've heard from several people the deer population is low in this unit.

I have also applied for this unit,and have 3 points,low deer numbers but good trophy potential. not alot info out there but I would like to get info also.high desert country.if we both draw maybe we could trade info thanks. Gordon

I wouldn't get too excited yet. It's showing less than a 50% chance of drawing, as a nonresident, with three points - not even coin toss!

I'm not getting to excited, but you know what they say, "Fail to plan, plan to fail". So, I'm just trying to do a little planning.I've got some good maps of some promising looking country. Also have a friend who applied for antelope tag in this unit with 9 points so we are optimistic that he may draw and I'll go with him on a couple scouting trips whether or not I draw my tag. Like Gordhunter said "low deer numbers, but good trophy potential". I love hunting the lonely places for big bucks. Scott
