If you have an elk tag for this unit you may want to keep a close eye on this fire. This unit isn't that big and that fire is consuming a lot of ground very fast.

Edit: Just heard, the town of Indianola is now being evacuated.

LAST EDITED ON Jul-20-07 AT 05:52PM (MST)[p]I just returned from the area. The fire is burning on both sides of 132. It is heading both North-East and South. We have a herd of cattle, barns, shop and 2 cabins which are within a day's burn from the blaze; right in the projected path to the North-East. We'll have to wait and see what happens......

Packout - I hope the fires pass you guys by. I picked up a special use permit for the Vernon unit today and those poor guys at the Forest Service station looked beat to hell. I'm sure this is not what they had planned for the summer.

MY UNCLE JUST VERLY FINISHED HIS CABIN/HOUSE DOWN BY INIANOLA!!!

NO MORE THAN ABOUT A WEEK AGO THEY MOVED IN!!!
