Open letter to the Tag Fairy.

Dear sir/mam/or flighted little creature of the night,

Each year I hope that it is going to be different, but it really is no different than the year before. I keep thinking that age will make this whole thing easier.... but it doesn't. I have checked the posts at least 3 times a day waiting for the word. I go to the websites of various states and frustratingly punch in my data, all to no avail.
I've been good this year... Santa and the Easter Bunny would be proud... so why not the flippin TAG Fairy?
This year I am beggin for an Idaho 44 deer or a 43 elk. A Wyoming H wouldnt be bad just thrown in either.
So PLEASE, PLEASE, someone Please tell me that IDAHO or WYOMING is close to posting their draw results.

Two an a half weeks for Wyoming results and about the same for Idaho according to regs.

So it's a fairy that sends out the tags? No wonder I have not been doing very well at drawing them lately. I had better take back some of the comments I have made about the fairies here in CA.

Maybe reverse psychology will work? I'm leaving for Africa in 3 weeks and won't have the time or money this Fall, so...

LAST EDITED ON Jun-19-04 AT 11:13AM (MST)[p]Rumor has it that Idaho draw was finished on Friday. I hear they are going to be posting the official results on the web on Monday or Tuesday. They already have the website ready to go, but it looks like the data isn't plugged in yet. (At least I hope it isn't plugged in yet becuase every time I enter my tag or any of my friends tags it says, "sorry, not drawn.")

Yep, I can hardly wait for the "Thanks for the $19.50 sucker...looks like you are a general season hunter again this year in Idaho" spill from Idaho F&G. Just my luck, I probably couldn't draw an unlimited tag even for a cow elk!!

Just found out that I drew any ELK TAG in CA! Still two more draws left!Over the counters don't count!!

Well, I think its time to start rubbing anything and everything that could be considered lucky (rabbits foot, trolls, etc).

Hey Ruttinbull,

As you know the tag fairy can be one cruel b#@ch (it is ok for me to piss her off some more at this point since I am on an all time best 0 tags for 6 states applied for this year). But the best part of her cruelty this year is the following. A friend of mine drew his first elk tag this year. Keep in mind this is his first elk hunt ever. He happened to put in for an elk tag with terrible odds because quote "I didn't want to draw this year because I don't have the time". So what tag does he get to start his elk hunting career off with? The Nevada area 16 archery antlered elk hunt. Go figure? Good luck to my friend on his hunt and good luck to you in your up coming draws.

I will quit whining now... at least I drew a cow tag and fourth choice buck tag in Oregon. I will at least get to hunt.
