Winthrop white-tails

I just got back from one of our yearly trips to Winthrop and was surprised to see as many white-tails as I did. I usually see a few but not as many as I saw this year. I saw a ton of muleys but there are getting to be more and more whiteys. I was on the Chewuch river road one night and saw 30 head of white-tails. One dandy buck. I never did see any bigger than average muley bucks. I like it over there, though. I did see a doe with an ice chest lid stuck around its neck. I called the local game warden and he said she has been like that for a month and they haven't been able to dart her yet. It made for some interesting pictures.

I have been seeing more and more each year for the past 10 years or so. A buddy of mine got a dandy 6x6 last year up Beaver Creek...................rf

Shoot a whitetail this season and save a muley, those things are overtaking the mule deer. Not too much longer and they will be in Western WA.
