I was kinda down when I didn't draw my 'G' tag but after getting alook-see at the dates I'm glad I didn't draw it now.
Way shorten dates and the 2 units that go an extra week will be a stinking zoo with crowd control.......135 is only 8 days....The best of luck to those that drew out though.....give 'em hell!!

Where did yo get the season dates I cant find it on the website and have not seen my license with regs. come in mail as of yet. I want to find the dates for REG-H.

It was in with my 2nd choice license.........I got in Saturdays mail.....

135 Oct.1--8th

143 Sept. 15th---Oct. 8th

144/145/147 Sept. 15th--Sept. 30th

144 that portion east of the Greys River Road Oct 1st---8th.

Have fun and good luck.......

How can they go from a 4 week season to one week in 144? This may cause some serious problems. I wonder how many people are aware of this and how many will end up hunting in the wrong area at the wrong time.

This sucks...Oh well, at least I drew a tag. I can't wait to get out there.

144 east of the Grey's River Road is a large portion of northern G. There is also a smaller 144 unit west of the road that is open a little longer...then again, maybe I'm reading this wrong.

Can they make it any more complex?

Does anyone know the boundaries of these units? The map in the regs is not very discriptive.

I think the portion of 144 east of the Grey's is open from 9/15-10/8, not just 10/1-10/8. The entire unit is open from 9/15-9/31, then the portion to the east stays open for another 8 days, instead of the usual 14. The only changes are 6 fewer days in eastern 144 and six fewer days in all of 135.

As a sidenote, I hope people don't start dumping the little bucks because there is currently not a lot of big deer. It will come back if people are willing to not shoot small deer for a couple of years. Also, they need to start limiting ATV's in the unit. Limited access has saved this place, any new motor vehicle routes hurt the areas they access.

Oh ya, also make it a draw for residents if they really want to make an impact on the hunting. This year there is going to be 1200 non's instead of 1600 in G, but there will still be maybe 5000 residents that hunt it. So basically the pressure will go from 6600 to 6200. That ain't much difference really.

Peace
