I've got a blackpowder permit tucked away, but I've been too busy between work and honey-do's to make it out. Planning a trip for either the first or second week of August. I'm not going to ask for anyone's secret spots, but I would like to know what kind of deer people have been seeing. I'm thinking this is going to be a good year for antler growth considering how wet it's been.

Thanks for any info.

My brother also drew a muzzy permit for BC. I have been out there twice and I am planning 2 more trips before the hunt. We have been seeing some great bucks, and lots of 'em! We are very excited for the hunt as my brother has never harvested anything bigger than a 2 point.

I drew a archery tag, and 27 days to go!!!! ;)
Been scouting 1 time got some great film of some nice bucks, tons of 20-24 inch bucks, but a few nice one's, got a few with cheaters, mass, and tine length from Bazoo on film too. I'm headed back down this weekend from fri am till monday to do some more filming, diggin out seep's, and build a few more blinds. I met a ol cowboy down there, he gave me some very nice tips on where some of the seeps were on the southern end.
this place is breath taking, wesome elk and bear country too.
It will be nice to film some of the same deer a month later to see what they have become.
drop me a email and after the archery season I'll give ya some helpful hints.
