Elk on the Stansbury Mts?

I've heard that there are elk up there, but never seen them. I've only been up there a few times. Anyone ever seen them? The reason I ask is because I live in Tooele and every year I hike up on the Oquirrh Mts to watch the elk. Well this year I go up there and it appears that someone has purchased the land were I usually go. So it screwed up my plans, so now I'm looking for a new area to go. Anyone with suggestions, feel free to PM me.

There are a few elk on the Stansburys. I haven't seen any this year yet. Where in the Oquirhhs are you going? I was just up there the other day and saw one of the biggest bulls I've ever seen on that range. There are some landowners that try to claim more land then they own to try and keep people out. They tried to put up no trespassing signs this year but had to take them down. If you like you can call me at 801-550-4973.
