BCBOY, I love them moose! I was chasing 'bou and moose in AK a few years back and fell in love the the BIG boys. I didn't take a moose (found some monster sheds which I packed-out and had flown back to the states)... but plan to try again here soon. Maybe I'll drop you a line after the deer and elk season are over and you can convince my that BC is the place to chase 'em!? :) Good luck this year my 'ole friend!

Theodore Roosevelt once said, "The nation behaves well if it treats the natural resources as assets which it must turn over to the next generation, INCREASED and NOT IMPAIRED in value."

Sweet moose pictures thanks for sharing.
Sounds like lots of fun hiking one of those jurasic things out of the thickets:)
Good luck on your hunts this year.
Best,
Jerry

Believe it or not that big boy is standing in the middle of a road. :) I had hiked past a couple big washouts on that overgrown road the evening before to get up into the highcountry to scout for muleys. Only saw one little dink and nothing else. Spent a long night sleeping under the stars and getting chewed on by some nasty bugs. :( When I finally gave up scouting and was working my way back to the truck, I ran into this guy. Almost stepped on him it was so overgrown in there. There were 2 other big bulls with him but even at 10 feet I couldn't get any pics of them because the alder was so thick. Had fun grunting at them though. :)

COGrizz,
BC is the place to come if you want a big Canada, but in the southern part of the province the bulls are more of Shiras influence. My buddy found these sheds in this spring while hunting grizzly. They score 199 4/8. Not bad for a southern bull.

Here's some pics of some of the moose sheds I found this spring. Best day we found over 30 in a few hours.

Nice moose bcboy. I've checked out a few of your posts and you've got some awesome pictures. It's great to see a fellow British Columbian showing off what our province has to offer. Say, you wouldn't happen to have the gps coordinates for the big mulie you posted pictures of a while back, would you . . .

I don't have the GPS coordinates. I have a GPS but find I use it as a glorified watch instead. :) Welcome to MM. Always good to see more BCers on this site. What part of the province do you call home?

Coquitlam is home for me, although these days it seems like I spend more time at work in Vancouver. You're up somewhere North of Kamloops, aren't you?

Good luck with your hunting this year. I look forward to seeing a monster muley post from you in a month or two.

Are you trying to kill me???? My moose season starts in like 6 hours. Eventhough I'm not a velvet kind of guy, I'd have to stick a stick in his broiler room just so I could peel it off for him.

Littlefoot. When are you guys goin' over? If I see one on your side of the line, I'll send you a PM.

Great pics as always BC. Moose are huge. It just goes to show how thick that brush is if you couldn't get pics.
