My son took this bull with the muzzleloader. It is his first elk. He drew the tag on the first year. ( lucky @#!$$% ). We called it in to 15 yards and could not get a shot ( to many tree's ) the bull got nervous and took off I cow called a couple of times and he stopped at 45 yds. My son took the shot hitting him perfect taking out both lungs. The bull went 75 yds and was down. We had passed on many other bulls and had seen a few bigger. It was a great hunt and one he won't soon forget.

Thats one smoker bull! Congrats to you guys on what sounds like an awsome hunt. With your kids luck, next year you better put'm in for the Henrys!

Congratulations on an outstanding bull for your son. One thing I know for sure is that you had a much better time with him getting this bull than if you'd have shot it yourself while hunting without him there. My son took his first bull, also a 6 pt. bull when he was 16, and I was more stoked than with any bull I've killed myself. It is way more fun to share it with your son!

I'm sure you're very proud of your son, and you have every reason to be!
