THIS ONE IS FOR BOBCAT 50 3/8 incher

IF YOUR GOING TO BE A BEAR BE A GRIZZLY BEAR!
This was killed in 1972 in one of my units I had in southern Idaho. I measuered it my self in 1978 and thats what it measuered. Now I think it measurers 49 7/8. Bobcatbess I hope you don't want any bigger .Imight have to come up with one!

I'VE HAD MY HUNTS SCREWED UP IN THE PAST,BUT THIS YEAR I'VE VIEWED MORE 30"+ RACKS THAN I'LL SEE ON THE MOUNTAIN THE REST OF MY LIFE!!!

AT LEAST I KNOW NOW WHAT I'M SUPPOSED TO BE LOOKING FOR!!!

WHO WAS THE JOKER THAT DIDN'T TAKE CARE OF A 50"+ RACK AND HAD TO VARNISH THEM???

That buck is amazing! How wide does everyone think its mainframe is? Doesnt look to be a lot of cheater width on it! 40+++ mainframe?

Yea Bobcatbess I don't think there will be the chance to take one of these real monsters anymore.Too many hunters too much loss of habitat,and lots of mismanagement.

I should have said "is that the same buck that is in Lee Aikens shop".....it is still there.

I believe that buck came from the area I grew up hunting. Unfortunately, I started a little late in the game to see that kind of buck.

Brian, I talked to the son of the man that killed it and he told me,that he had come home from college for the holidays so I would imagine somewhere between thanksgiving and xmas. No lets see the latest it could have been was Dec3. That is the latest Idaho ever had a hunt. There was no muzzelloader season back then.

Great buck! There is actually a buck very similar to this hanging here in town that was killed sometime in the early 40's (during WWII when there weren't many guys out hunting deer). It came from Southwest Idaho. I'll see if I can get a pic and post it.
