Montana White Tails/Muleys

Anybody have information about White Tail or Muley hunting around Thompson Falls, Montana. Is there some public land to hunt or do you have to get a landowner trespass permit? What time in the Fall would be the best? I'll be up there late next week in the search for Elk with a bow. Any information would be appreciated! If you like I can provide my E-Mail address.

I'm not real familiar with the area but I would recommend this website: http://fwp.state.mt.us/default.aspx

They have some good info on success rates, drawing statistics, maps, etc...

I'd also see if there is any block management lands around there.

Lots of public land, your best bet would be late in the year around the rut. You won't see many muley's but should see lots of whitetails. Good luck.
