I just found this pic on the B&C Website. What a hog! I had no idea ND produced bulls like this; it even says their state record is an incredible 449....

ND produces some huge Bulls! The Fugere Bull was feeding on the hunters alfalfa all summer right up to the day he killed it.

Elk hunting isn't open to nonresidents in ND, that is probably why you don't hear much about it. Once you draw the tag you are done for the rest of you life. My buddy drew one last year and shot a 380" class bull.
The elk grow big in the Teddy Roosevelt National Park which is not open for hunting, when they wander outside the park, they get in trouble and make hunters happy. :)
