What is the farthest south that any of you have personally seen grizzlies in Wyoming?

I had an interesting face to face encounter in the grey's river range last year while chasing mulies. The WYO fish and game laughed when I told them... but later a biologist confirmed that they have documented grizzlies that far south in recent years.

I'm curious to see how many of you have had similar experiences.

BOWANA, I ASKED MY BUDDY IN JACKSON THAT SAME QUESTION A YEAR AGO, FISH & GAME SAID THERE IS A GROWING NUMBER OF GRIZ. NOW IN THE GREYS RIVER RANGE. THEY HAVE BEEN DOING REAL WELL & ARE EXPANDING THERE RANGE. THIS ADDS A DIFFERENT FEEL TO A HUNT, ITS NOT QUITE AS RELAXED AS IT COULD BE. I AM NOT COMPLAINING, TAKE ER EASY, YD.

a US Fish and Wildlife officer was forced to kill a sheep eating grizzly on the greys early this summer. They are certainly some there but I don't think there is enough of them to really worry about.

Really not that many to worry about even if yer in the heart of them. Last time I was in the Thorofare, we had one in camp at 2am. He was trying to climb the meat pole and was banging our bear proof panniers. It was quite the racket. I finally got tired of listening to him and fell asleep. Told my buddy, unless he's in the tent, don't wake me. The only time I'm ever concerned is when you're gutting and quartering. I usually do most of the work and let my partner keep a lookout with his shotgun. Had one drag off part of my elk a few years back. He had it buried under dirt and pine branches. Never did see him, but then we didn't stick around long either...
