In defense of Shipdog

So a majority of you all think he is lying, imagine that!
If he posted "proof" (in what ever means it would take to prove his accusations and satisfy those of you who dont believe him) I wonder how many would actually believe it? I can see it now... "oh, that is a staged photo", etc. and it would NEVER end.
What does Shipdog have to gain from this?
I find it humorous that Doyle Moss' name was never mentioned in any of Shipdogs posts but everybody knew exactly who was being referred to!
Is Doyle Moss the only oufitter to have controversy surround him?
Ryan Hatch, George Taulman (sp?), John McClendon, etc (should I throw Kirt Darner in?).
Now all of those folks have had accusations made about them, not by just one person but by many other, DIFFERENT people. Could they all be making these things up?

Is this the 1st time Doyle MOss has been accused of flying for animals, baiting, threatening other hunters, etc.(When I say Doyle Moss I mean it collectively if you are a mossback member and receiving $ from him).
I can answer that question myself! NO! Every fall Doyle Moss(among others) has been accused of these tactics and it seems to be getting worse.
Is Doyle Moss the hero of Utah and the hunters of the Beehive state? IS that why Shipdog and anybody else that "stands up" to Mossback is ridiculed (soon to be me, he he)?
I have seen his track record, it speaks for itself, it is impressive the number of insane bucks and bulls that have fallen under the Mossback name. BUt at what cost? IS there any fishy acivity going on?
Sure there is extensive year round scouting for some of these animals but what else comes with the scouting and hunt?
Some of you need to open your eyes, not everybody is out to wrongly accuse somebody of something they did do!
MM is the place for photoshopped pictures, tall tales and other BS but there is some good truths and great people on this site that is why I havent left it over the years.
Thanks to those that came to Shipdogs defense or had a neutral view to the post that was locked earlier.

I think the point that was trying to be made is that if you don't come forth with a little evidence to go along with your story, its hard to believe. Now, whether or not anyone believes the evidence is real, is up to them. As far as anyone knows, shipdog went to bed one night and had a very detailed dream. He then woke up and logged on to MM. Not saying thats what happened, just explaining it as I saw it. His first choice should have been to give the evidence to authorities, not rag on an outfitter on a public forum. Then, if the outfitter was tried and convicted, he could then come forth and have all the bragging rights that he "was the one who sent him to jail."
 
let me put it this way, Why would you come here and start accusations saying you have proof, but not show the proof??
It is like someone bragging about his huge schlong, if you aren't going to whip it out dont expect us to believe your 10 inches.
I was the first one to post a reply on his topic, it was just a simple request, post the pictures of the bait pile.
I tel you what, if it is too much work, email them to me and i will post them for you.

BTW, i shot a 454 inch bull this fall. I have pictures of it but I will not post them because I will be accused of staging it.

Thats the point, there where no pics, just accusations and talk of pics that he had. He never would come forth with any evidence.
 
If you go to the Mossback sight you can see a picture of shipdog. Look under "The ones that got away". LOL You don't need to say Doyle Moss when your post starts off with 443 bull. Who else killed a 443 bull? I don't even have to say it was on the Pahvant or with a bow. We're not all UTards. How did your post help shipdog? Looks like you just started digging the hole deeper to me.

If Doy$# was finding, hunting, guiding, cooking, gutting, staying on the bulls and whatever else all by himself and maybe a buddy then he would be considered a great hunter and guide! But hes far from that. It should no longer be "doy43 harvested a monster bull" but rather his team of 50(estimated) guys worked hard to surround a monster bull and got the shooter in great position!
 
I'm not denying any of the alleged acts. Just saying, without proof, its nothing but slander and hearsay.

Obviously you don't own a business or understand business. Doyle was a one man band and then he took it to the next level. It's like saying you don't respect Bill Gates and that he knows nothing about computers because his research and development(people he hires) engineer his software programs for his company. It has to start somewhere. Sounds like you know Doyle pretty good or follow him around to say he doesn't find, hunt, guide, cook, gut and so on. So what does he do if you know him so well? Once again some jackass spewing his pie hole because he's so smart and has it all figured out. Sucks to be you. Gets old.

"Good Old Rammu" PRO once again I knew i could get your dander up again!! Are you done hunting for the year PRO? Seems that you been on here alot running your lips over the puter screen! Did you do good on your hunts this year? Can I buy you a slurpee sometime?
 
I want to toss in some thoughts. Hopefully my thoughts are very neutral.

I have a few friends who guide for this outfitter and they assure me these rumors are just rumors. From a character standpoint, I have to believe that they are only rumors. In 3 consecutive years on an LE I never once seen a guide nor did I have any run ins with them.

On the other hand, I hear lots of stories. Sometimes I hear these stories from several sources. Are they true or wild rumors? I do not know. I hear of vandalism, yelling and screaming matches, fist-fights, bribes, blocked roads, unethical kills, and on and on. Much of what I hear is 5 o'clock news worthy, but never saw a story on TV yet.

I hate to hear this stuff. If it is true then somebody needs to get a grip on this. If untrue, people need to knock off the jealous rants and mind their own business.

Just some thoughts from an outsider.
 
Rammu, I am done for the year, we did great and I had a good time. You ever make it up to Tooele County I'll buy! Most of my jabs at you are in fun, too many folks take this internet stuff waaaay too serious. Oh, my lips stay of the screen, that way I can read all your posts full of......wisdom.

As far as pro goes you forgot a few things like; YOU MUST BE A PISSCUTTER OF A GUIDE YOURSELF, YOU COULDN'T START A POLARIS LET ALONE A PISSCUTTER PILOT UNIT, PISSCUTTER, PISSCUTTER,PUSSCUTTER WTF???? I keep trying to find where all of this stuff happens just so I can stir the pot a little but I have yet to witness it myself. I hear stuff nearly ever other day. Maybe I dont spend enough time on the Pahvant? The Boulder? Dutton? Beaver? Well maybe not any of it is true. I once stated on a diff post that I watched this same guy Racing people off the line at stoplights as if it were a 17 year old boy trying to impress a girl and that I know is true. Other than that its all hearsay!

None the less as long as Nunya and PRO are on MM I too will be here just to sit back and watch. Im wasting time till I go to Colorado 3rd season. PRo You make me happy and you make me mad!
 
I haven't seen kitten since our little bout this morning. Did you fart peakfreak? Or was it something I said? If I were any less of a man I would start calling him names. The first one would be in the same classification as "kitten".....Just razzin ya man, come back and play.
 
its not about all of the money cohntr6..its about the time you put in doing it and time trying to find these animals! and they put in plenty of time trying to find them!
 
If I post the pics will it make a differance? I really doubt it. There still will be those who say they were staged pics or whatever.

If a guy was actually serious about this evidence he would likely send it on to those who can do something with it, not put it on here so folks can debate its authenticity.

True, it would be tough to prove evidence in such a situation to be authentic, but if a guy was seeing this kind of stuff after admitting to having a video camera, that would be hard to fake. Solid evidence of someone commiting a criminal act. If you see the "bait" why not get your hands on a trail cam, turn off the flash, and catch someone checking the bait? If two kids come in the room pointing at each other, one kid has red marks and bruises, who's side are you going to take? The one who has the proof.

Maybe it got nuked because it's not cool to have a thread that's just a bashfest on a guy. You boys just don't play nice...none of ya! lol (and I thought the cloth vs. disposable diaper threads on my mommy boards got heated....) ;-)

Plus, we all know Bess is at work checking bushes for ticks and we don't want to get him stirred up any more than usual. LOL

bigbuck243, I really didnt mention anything about money but everything does revolve around money and the few times I have guided for outfitters I didnt complain about the extra cash ! Lol!
I'm sure Mossback guides, etc. scout endlessly as I already mentioned but is there more to it?

Bashing? Isn't that when people start in with the name calling and the threats and so forth? Never name called, never threatend, just offered my advice on proper tact when trying to debate with someone. I dont post on here a whole lot, so when I do, I want my posts to be taken seriously, (most of the time) I don't mean to offend.

Whatever woody. You were all bashing him...it wasn't just joking around and it was starting to get out of hand. More and more people were jumping on. If you want your posts to be taken seriously, then don't jump on a bashing bandwagon about one individual cuz 9 times out of 10, it's gonna get nuked. It's just not cool. And I don't care who it's about. I hate seeing one dog get kicked by the rest of the pack. Bess gets nuked all the time for different reasons...that's what the original post was about. The rest of us are just held to that same standard. It was not a productive thread, not helpful, useful or good in anyway. It was a hurtful thread and I'm glad it got nuked.

You know why I only let my kids have friends over for 2 hours at a time? Cuz they get sick of each other after a while and start fighting. Some of these boys need a big fat time out around here. LOL
 
If you think I was bashing, fine, call it like you see it. But I NEVER intended to hurt or slam him. The only time I have called anyone anything, is when I said he should not be so offende, and come back and play. Hence the "here kitty, kitty" type comment from earlier.
 
If you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen. Shipdog got bashed primarily because of his dumb remarks about people who use guides being fat and lazy. I personally think he was just trying to stir up some crap and he succeded. He got what he deserved.

TK, you need to read the post again. Never a quote from me about fat and lazy whatever. Get your facts straight. My story might be hard to prove but your critisism can be easily traced in print.

It depends on what those pictures show. If they are of a wallow with some "bait", well then youre right, it proves nothing. Unless the pics show who set the bait, then they show nothing. Who knows who put the stuff there...maybe it was shipdog, maybe it was Mossback, maybe it was some locals, maybe it was bigfoot or Aliens.

If you guys dont want to post the pictures/proof, thats fine, but will you at least tell us what the photos consist of....what kind of proof againt Mossback you have. Iquiring minds want to know!

I was one of the Mossback cowboys hearding the elk. Dam it I bucked off and missed the entire show! FN airplane spooked my horse! Using my head for something other than to break my fall I high tailed it to the wallow that has all the grain around it and sher enough there was ol roan. Eatin oats and grinin. Hit'r a lope for the kill site but just missed gettin in the pics. They had im a loaded in the jet and was gone! Dam it!
And thats what really happend.

That's what you get for hunting so close to the airport. Don't you know every plane that takes off in Fillmore has one of those 50 Mossback guides in it? They probably knew it was you and buzzed ya. Did you ever glass up old SHIPDOG? Did he have finders fee on his head? I got bucked off a ranger once up there so I know how you feel. Next time your up in the air swing on south and I'll show you how us southern boys do it.

Why do all mossback guides like peakfreak defend thier boss. Maybe because they are knee deep in "IT" also? Do it right or be ready to get ripped. Stay on private ground and act like storm troopers or go public and try to behave boys. It aint really hard is it? Where theres smoke, there usually be a little fire!
