I have a picture of an absolute toad that my buddy shot with his bow this year, but having difficulties downloading the image. If anyone can help I will email the picture to you.

Holly PIG man! That buck is awesome! What state? Any details on the hunt or the score of this bad boy? Unbelievable buck!

This buck was taken by Travis Holmes in Utah. The buck Green scores 213 and was killed on public ground. This is the 4th Pope & Young buck killed by Travis in the last 5 years all killed on PUBLIC ground. Travis is the most dedicated hunter I have ever known, he shot this buck on his 15th day of pursuing him. He watched this buck all summer long and had him patterned well until opening weekend--lots of pressure in the area from other hunters and this buck went pretty much nockternal. It was day #15 of sitting in his tree stand when the buck finally slipped up and came out a little early and Travis was able to arrow him. This buck goes to show what hard work and most of all patience can do if you stick with it.

There are no more big bucks in UT! Wah, wah, wah! I think what we are a little short on here in UT isn't necessarily big bucks, it's "Big Buck Hunters"! :) Granted things could always be better but it sounds like ol' Travis was able to get out and round up 4 HOGS in the last 5 years. Hmmmmm????

Congratulations a thousand times Travis for taking this buck and as well as the others it sounds like you've taken in the past few years. Keep it up man!

That buck is the stuff that dreams ar emade of. And congrats to Travis for his hunt. He did it on his own and earned the buck. Let's remember this one when it comes time to vote in the big buck contest.

I agree, he should have a lifetime supply of the products he uses in exchange for some publicity: mathew's Outback, Montec G5 broadheads, Leica Bino's, Zies spotting scope--just to name a few. He changes equipment so often it's hard to keep track--not sure which arrows he's using now.

Hijo De Su Madre!
Damn! what a hog that is!

Another piece of the story that I forgot to mention is that Travis passed on a nice 185 class typical just two nights before the monster came in. When he told me that he had passed on him I told him that he was out of his mind, 185 bucks are few and far between. Two nights later he called me up and asked me if I wanted to see why he passed up a 185 class buck and when he pulled up I couldn't believe it. I have twin boys that are only a year and half old that watch hunting shows with me and when Travis pulled up they both pointed at Trav's buck saying elk, elk, elk. I had to laugh!

WHAT A TOAD!!!!! Good buck.... Do you have any green scores you'd like to share. What patience.... I know it's not easy sitting treestands for 15 days into the hunt waiting. But when you know they are there....You've got to hold out... GOOD JOB, TRAVIS.

Keep us posted as to where you'll be posting your story and photos.
