Are the bucks in #'s 8 and 9 the same? If not It looks to me that they are the VERY CLOSELY RELATED. Talk about cool! Thanks for posting.

There is nothing more respectful than a die-hard such as yourself getting back into the hills to take photos. The passion is for the total experience. Nothing can compare to watching and capturing these wild moments uninterrupted. From your experience, I'm sure you would be the first to say that you have learned a lot from getting in close enough to take these great photos. I have a friend that takes multiple photos as he hunts and I have also adopted the camera to the must-take-to-the-hills-list.

Your photos are incredible. From seeing your past thread... You definitely get into the mountains. Love the photos... like the other have said... Keep them coming.

Anyone have a Thes.. Thesouar... one of those books with words that mean the same as other ones handy? I ran out of new superlatives to add about this latest batch! :)

GW4BOW is right about having the passion for getting out there and getting after it, even out of season. We all have it to some degree... but you're just one sick individual... and we are lucky enought to be the benefactors! :)

Jeff..

Lets just say that your pictures are to die for mate. When I die I want to go to where you get these photos. No doubt about it. They are awesome as usual. Thanks for posting !

Happy trails

Looks like Photobucket is down again, heck I can't even see the pics. Thanks for the compliments guys, nice words said!

BC, HornPornKing sounds like an actor in an "adult movie". I like it!
Cactus, I use a Panasonic Lumix FZ10... it is a digital.

Great pictures as usual Sir! You should show them your "smellindasmall" picture! Then they'd all know you're the horn porn King! :) LMAO! Seriously though. Thanks for the pictures man. It sure helps break up the monotony here at work.

Shaking my head, and it ain't because of old age and alzheimers. Unbelievable. Your pics are great to look at as alwys.

Absolutely awesome!!! I love the elk photos, actually I love them all. I must say the elk photos are particularly good. Good luck in the future at getting more like these. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Unbelievable picture! How close do you get to those deer for your photos? I am quite taken with the buck in #8 and 9. I saw you have snapped his mug earlier in the year when he was in the velvet. For me, he has the best rack I've ever laid my eyes on. His semitry and curvature is breathtaking. Do you mind if he becomes my desktop wallpaper?

Your camera is awesome! I'm going to look into getting one of those. How much do you have to zoom to get those quality photos?

One last question DK, private or public land?

Thank you Thank you!

Thanks for the good words. You are more than welcome to use pic 8 or 9, nothing I can do to stop you but its nice that you'd ask. Most of the better pics don't show up here, these are the rejects :). That buck is quite striking, I agree. All critters pics were taken on public land with the exception of 1 of the elk. I'm not beyond begging a landowner to trespass :). As far as quality of photos, if you don't try to exceed the limitations of your camera you can get very good results, in this case nothing over 65-70 yards. Once you go to far past the optical zoom you will get degredation. Picture one was well beyond "quality range" and you can see the difference.

Once again, wonderful pics, DK. Cool split browtine on that one buck! Thanks for sharing your pics with us.....
