Had a great Canuck Thanksgiving weekend with my family in the rainy country of Blue River BC. My dad ended up getting a 4x4 LEH Bull the day before I got there. Him and mom got it back to camp all by themselves, which is quite the feat since dad's heartattack a couple years ago. So all I had to do was skin, which I didn't mind at all. I was very proud of him given his heart condition.
I hunted casually the rest of the weekend looking for the elusive general season immature bull (spike or fork). Saw 6 bulls and 6 cows. A couple of bulls were really decent sized. One bull looked like he was an immature through the spotter, so I went down and got set up in his meadow and cow called him. He came to within 8 yards of me. Turned out he was a 4x3. The third point was just barely an inch too. Oh well, still neat to have him come in so close. The family had a great weekend and we built a lot of memories.
Dad's Bull (my mom has better pics of the bull on the ground that I will post later)
