Oregon Non-Typical Buck

Well, here is some proof that there are still a few non-typical bucks running around Oregon. This is a picture of a buck I was lucky enough to harvest last Saturday the 9th. I have taken some pretty good bucks in the past, but nothing like this. What do you think it will score out at??? He is a 6 x 7 and all of the kickers have decent length...

Bull7,
Great buck - I'm also a Oregon resident and hunt the Desolation unit for deer. I have seen bucks like that during elk season but never during deer season - looks like you got lucky. Don't know about score becuase its hard to tell in picture but the mass looks really good. I agree though, its nice to see that we still have bucks like that in Oregon.

LAST EDITED ON Oct-14-04 AT 01:02PM (MST)[p]That's one "stylin" buck, congratulations!

Bull7- That is an awesome looking buck! Congratulations on taking such a fine specimen. As far as score goes I have no idea, but he is truly a trophy no matter what the score sheet says.

Awesome buck! Love those drop tines!!! I'm from Oregon too, can you give us a general hint at what section of the state you got him (NE, SE, Central)?

When you have him scored let us know!

Very nice B7; glad to see that tag came through for you. Looks like it has been a good year for antler growth in the west. Still waiting for that story!

I am talking with David Virostko with MuleyCrazy Magazine about possibly doing something with there magazine?I will find out soon? Thanks again for the comments. This is a couple other pictures from the hunt.

Late season elk???? I have to head back to ID and try to locate some large wild canines; thus I will find my elk.

I can only open one of the new pictures; can you send me that as well as the other you mentioned?

My other late-season tag would be rutting blacktails, which aint so bad. That coastal area you mention might be fun.

Let us know how that magazine article comes; I want a signed copy. Maybe then I / we can get the WHOLE story!!!!

Congrats once again,

Ras
