I have a tag for unit 65 near Montrose CO. With all the recent moisture we have had, where would be a good place to start my scouting. I will be leaving 2 days before the hunt so as to do some scouting. Not looking for anyones honey hole, just a starting point.Does anyone know if the mountains around Montrose have received heavy snows. [email protected] if you don't want to post here.

thank you

Cabin fever I live in Montrose it has rained, snowed and the sun has shone today ...it has been that way for the last week .Has made the hunting pretty good alot of good bulls and bucks killed. do you have an idea which part of unit 65 you are looking at?? you may want to check your regulations your tag may also be good for unit 64. let me know if i can help once you pinpoint your area in 65. will you be hunting deer or elk?

I will likely focus aroung the cimaron and billy wildlife management areas. I have heard of some nice bucks in these areas. Do you have any suggestions. I'll be arriving in Montrose around 2:00 on Thursday. I will be hunting deer and my tag is good in unit 64 as well. Any suggestions at all would be appreciated.

thanks
