My Boys Did It!!!!!!

LAST EDITED ON Jan-05-08 AT 08:07PM (MST)[p]Here in Colorado if youths don't fill their regular season cow tags, youths get a shot at late season cow elk. My boys did it (12/29/07)!!!! Jesse (15) shot his right through the heart from about 200 yards away and Tyler (13) shot right through the lungs and was about 225 yards away! I'm so proud!!!! And I want to thank Lynn Belleville for all his help. The boys really enjoyed him being there. And the rabbit hunting that same afternoon was great and so much fun!!!

Work to hunt!! Live to hunt!! And the rest spent keeping the wife happy!!

That's a lot of great elk burger laying there in the snow. Sounds like the boys bled 'em out good.

Those photos are a good as any of the big stinky pics. Hunting with your sons is as good as it gets. My son passed hunter's ed. yesterday. Hope to have some photos like yours this fall. Thanks for sharing!

Congrats on a great hunt. I too love those pics just about as much as I do monster bulls or bucks. I love seeing pics with our youth , hopefully I'll have some with my girls in the next couple years..Again congrats and thanks for sharing it...

I have been waiting to see you post on the results of your season. As I recall, between you and your wife you had tags for almost every one of the combined rifle seasons. How did you make out?

Liv, Congratulations!!! Buddy took his son back there and he took 2 cows but it wasn't easy this year. 2+ feet of snow and -0 temps.

Man would you look at the grin on that youngster. What a blast that must have been. I couldn't think of a better way to spend a cold winters day than killing something with my kids.
