Late Whitetail in NE Washington?

I know this is Monster Muley's, but this year mule deer is no longer an option for me. If I don't get a nice muley early or during the regular season I like to go northeast and go for it's Whitetailed cousin. I usually hunt the Huckleberry range anywhere between Colville and Lake Rosevelt. Although this year I'm thinkin of going a little further north or northeast. Can't take any work off so will only have 2 days to hunt. Any input on whether or not it's worth driving the extra hour or so? I've had some success where I've been hunting, just like to see new country. Has anyone been out in the areas around Ione? I've been there once, only hunted one day. Not looking for anyone's secret spots, just general chit chat. You can send me a PM if you don't want to post your response.

Try north of kettle falls, around pierre lake and first thought mnt. I have taken a couple of nice bucks there, but have found some incredible sheds while turkey hunting.

thanks DJB, appreciate the response. How is the amount of hunters in that area? Is it real thick where you need to hunt from a stand, or are you able to still hunt? How about road closures?
thanks again
