2004 Utah Bucks

My Dad drew a Book Cliffs permit this year and we saw some unreal deer. All the bucks we saw looked like they were starting to get "rutty." My Dad killed a good deer on day two of the hunt that weighed over 350 on the hoof. I killed my deer last weekend in Central Utah. He was pretty swollen up too. From the looks of it, people cleaned house in the Book Cliffs. My Dad will be the first to tell you that A LOT BETTER DEER GOT AWAY!

How do you post pictures on the forum? They need to establish an "attachment" link in Compose to make it simpler to post pics.

You can either do it through Hunt101.com or Imagestation.com either one works fine. I use Hunt101. I can post them for you if you want.

Hey addict they way i know how to do it is to use http://www.hunt101.com/ . Sign up there which is easy then it will say upload pics you upload them there . It will tell you at the bottom of your pic what to do you just copy the url at the bottom at paste it on a post you make . If you have any questions let me know . Hey addict what part of book cliffs were you hunting, I talked to a few guys who hunting it and they came away dissapointed, they got little 4 points, but still they said they didnt see anything

My dad and I drew a tag for the Books 3 years ago as a group entry. We both had only 2 points. Eat your hearts out!!! =)

We hunted the divide area on the first day but were dissapointed. Very few deer up high (though we did see one dandy). The second day, we dropped down to about 6500 feet and started hunting the transition areas between summer/winter ranges. That is where we started seeing deer. The bucks were showing signs of rutting and we saw lots of them. I missed one that made the buck in the picture look anemic. I guess that is why the call it hunting, right?

Thanks for the help posting those pics. My Dad actually drew his tag off of the Dedicated Hunter pool. It was a total fluke and didn't cost him a point!!! We'll put in religiously from here on out.
