Utah limited-what unit?

I started putting in for Utah last year, so I only have one point. I don't want to wait a long time for those once in a lifetime hunts such as the San Juan. Although it would be cool to hunt 350 bulls I just want an opportunity to have a quality hunt and have a good solid chance to shoot a 300 inch bull. I noticed in the recent Eastmans mag about Utah that some lesser units have decent odds, are any of these units worth it though?

For what you want, every unit in Utah would work. Every unit produces 370 bulls, so 300 bulls are there in mass.

i helped my uncle on diamond mountain a couple years ago and it is a decent unit but thats my opinion, it does have a lot of private property but i think your odds would be a little better too but nothing is great with only 1 point

Uless you have a double rabbit's foot, get ready for a many year wait. I suspect with changes this year, there will be quite a few people jumping ship on the hard to draw units and putting in for the less sought after LE hunts. I expect the odds to go way down on the supposedly "easier" units, but who knows! Good luck.

venor, ergo sum (I hunt, therefore I am)

I think you read wrong. You are going to be waiting 7 years for a tag on any unit in Utah.
You could always head to Northern Utah on the General Any Bull Hunt. But it will be TOUGH
