early elk

Can anybody suggest a state for elk hunting in sept. I plan on muzzleloader hunting with a guide. What are your best suggestion for a state . I have no prefrence points. I hear utah is having an early muzzleloader season is this a good bet or not.

Not much time left, but AZ is always a good idea. The muzzy hunts are always good and rotate through quality units.

If you not looking for huge bulls contact Shepp Ranch In Idaho. The last couple of years they have killed some great bulls! They are great people and it is some awsome country!!! You will either fly in or boat in 15 miles than pack in 7 miles.

Colorado is always a good bet, of course I am a bit bias. We do have some good bulls on some good private ranches, and you might be able to get a tag if you apply for a private property tag. It might be something to look at.

Look at BC, no draw has 6 pt or better in most areas. Can combine with goat moose bear or deer farther north.
