let's try this again...enjoyable story to go along with this, but I spent 10 minutes typing it in the first time and then something didn't work...anyways here is the very short version...went prone downhill in the snow trying to get this guy's buddy and when I came up for air I couldn't find the John Candy buck in this thick timber...after approx. 90 seconds of deliberation (probably more like 15 seconds) I took the lil' guy with one shot through about a 1'X 2' hole in the timber...smallest rack I've seen lately here at MM but as the majority of you know sometimes the reward is directly related to the amount of work committed...I will never forget this one...will I ever forget any of them???

one more thought before anybody mentions it...I am aware now that my tag is incorrectly attached.

Ain't nothing wrong with that buck. Congratulations on the harvest. That's what it's all about bud. What set-up you got there with the stainless barrel?

Sealer, if you click on the properties of your photos the pixel size is huge, something like 1600x1100. Go to your photo editing device (like Microsoft Photo Editor) and resize the pics down to 640x480.

thanks for the pixel info dakota...

sorry kilowatt, that's actually 50# boxes of rubberized asphalt crack sealant...I threw them in for a little additional weight...

Chef, just a traditional Ruger 7 Mag topped with a Burris Fullfield II (3-9X40)with the BallisticPlex reticle...ever since my first Ruger .22, I've been attached to them...took a whitetail at 369 yds. with this rig last year...1 shot thru the boiler and down he went...
