Do you guys think people will drop out of the Utah mix for elk because you have to buy a license now to get a bonus point?? I'm a NR with points but am just collecting points as I'm looking to hunt in 10 years or so? Hatrick

yes it is going to affect Nr appl. my friend from new york had six moose points and said no way,HEs done with utah to much money he can go to canada and hunt

I think it will lower applicants. Mostly because guys cannot afford to apply everyone and their dogs now. I wish Utah would quit averaging points. That would also help a ton.

I think it will cause some people to drop out, but not as many as what people are thinking/hoping.

I will bet Utah has more applicants this year that ever before. I do not think that having to buy a license will affect the application numbers this year. Utah has some great hunting opportunities that are still cheaper to apply for than other states. Will see when the #'s are released.
