Haven't hunted it before but have been through that area many times and have often wondered if it would be good for elk. Have seen a few on my trips through there, but not alot. It is pretty rugged country, alot of steep ravines and canyons. I have heard some bugling during the month of September heading for the flattops wilderness to do some archery hunting, but nothing to get real excited about. I have looked into some outfitters that might run that area, and haven't found many to contact. Might tell you something.
