How do you pick a taxidermist?
Do you flip to the yellow pages, start calling and the cheapest or fastest gets the job? Or maybe you saw some mounts at a sportings goods store, or word of mouth? Maybe you attended a banquet or convention and saw some of their mounts.
When you go to a taxidermist shop do you look at how much work they have in their shop (antlers hanging from the rafters) or do you want to see lots of mounts? Do you talk to the taxi man and like what you hear and decide to give them a chance?
Enquiring minds want to know.

When I first needed one, I went to the guy who had more mounts than anyone else I knew and asked who he recommended. I have stuck with him ever since. You just can't beat a reliable reference.

If you dont mind the shipping, I recommend Garth Gilden at Fidalgo Taxidermy in Anacortes, WA. He is a real artist at his profession..................rf

If you have several in the area, go to his shop and talk to him and look at his show room. If you like what you see and hear, give him a try! Or her if she has D cups or a nice a$$.

I recently found one in Missoula that is awesome and I cant wait to get something to take to him, top notch!
