NM deer (not big)

not big buck as curlee or anyone that kill bigger in NM that i know of, but got him anyway!! in a bad snowstorm, here in unit 30..first day of hunt and stranded for 2 days..with snow!!

i couldn't find the big one!! since NM changed to visible 3 point antler! thanks for looking!! enjoy!

Do not worry what others think of as big or not. You look happy with your deer in the pictures and that is all that matters.

Hey Vini, congrats. I got skunked in 30 the first season. Did you hunt the first or second season? We had snow the day before it opened, too. I saw a few deer, but they were sure hunkered down in the cactus and mesquite draws. We were up on the northwestern end of 30. Where were you? Looks like you're having a helluva year. Way to go. I'm glad somebody beat the deer in 30 this year.

P.S. Did you see many predators? I saw four coyotes, 2 foxes and a mountain lion. No wonder the deer aren't behind every bush.

Congrats Vinihunt...how long did you have to look at it to make sure it was legal? Over my three day rifle hunt in 31, I saw 58 deer and just wasn't able to make the 4 pointers grow that extra point no matter how long I looked at them. Happy hunting!

i hunt on second rifle season! saw 2 gray fox, and was hoping to see some barbary sheep but see nothing expect deer..
