Kaibab monsters....

The late hunt on the west side was absolutely fantastic. I could only spend friday through monday hunting in Duwane Adams camp, then drove back to Phoenix tuesday to catch a flight to TX for my wifes family Thanksgiving. I am sitting here in Austin looking at the digital pictures I have of the two bucks I was in on the kill with. One client shot a 34" non-typ that scored 195" and the other client shot a 198" 4x4 hog. I talked to Blank (MM member) and ran into a couple other MM people, BacaGrant and OneTrack. The first two days were cold and clear then sunday & monday the storms hit and the weather made it tough. We saw lots of deer and Dana Yount shot a absolute monster monday night grossing around 220". I will try and figure out how to get these pictures to someone via email so they can post them. I know that OneTrack is writing a story and the other client will also have a story in MuleyCrazy or Eastmans. There were some real monsters taken this year and it was great to glass up alot of bucks. I hope I draw the Kaibab next year. Hope the other Kaibab hunters did well.......... Allen Taylor......

Brent called me last night and left a message about his hog buck. He was smiling through the phone? Got any early pics, stories, details?

Ya thats great, I'm stoked for Brent he has wanted a true trophy for a long time...Couldn't happen to a more worthy hunter...he has been paying his dues for some time now.

HEY BURANUT DO YOU KNOW HOW RICHARD FESSENDEN OR ROBERT JONES DID? I USED TO LIVE UP IN SAN MAN AND KNOW ALL THOSE GUYS..

I ate dinner with Richard F. monday night and he hadnt killed yet. His buddy shot a 190 plus buck but they lost it down a canyon and couldnt pick up the blood with all the rain/snow. I know he will kill, he is great hunter. Pred: I didnt get to talk to Joel on Sunday so I am not sure but I know he is hunting hard and shouldnt have a problem unless the weather got bad again. I hate sitting here in TX when I know everyone is still up chasing those deer. My wife is going by walgreens with the rest of the group right now, so hopefully I can get the c.d. and download pictures to Kilowatt and he will post them. I promise I am not kidding you, these two clients shot great bucks.......LOL.....these two bucks will get your juices flowing............ Allen Taylor......

OH YOU GUYS ARE KILLING ME!!! I had to guide a hunt for the first 5 days in unit 8 and got wrecked with mud, what a total bust of a hunt. Anyway, I'm off for the last bit of the hunt up there. Bura, Duwayne set up his camp right next to my dad's trailer for the muzz hunt. His client gave up after hunting only 2 days!!!! He called me today and said there's tons of snow down low and absolutely no deer anywhere. I guess the first two seasons really has got them boogered. Hopefully we'll be able to see some deer before Sunday.

Oh crap, I just noticed you're talking about the west side. Duwane camped next to dad on the east side hunt on the buffalo ranch. My bad.

Here are a few pics of what it looked like on the west side during and after the big snow dump on the Kaibab

This is the a pic taken on Saturday around noon while glassing some lonely country off Sowats with the GC in the background. About 3 1/2 hours later the snow started falling, lightly at first and then began to dump! We'll be heading back up after Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow.

Those are some AWESOME pics. I can only hope that I have a chance to hunt ground like that someday!

Michael~All Gods creatures welcome... right next to the mashed potatoes and gravy.

Bura-Nut I'm hoping to draw out there soon too. Got 5 or 6 pts so far. Thanks to everyone for the pictures so far.
