Howdy...I'm a non resident considering these three units for the third season next year. I think I'm reading the stats correctly in that I could draw these with tree points next year, although I've got say the stats are a little confusing. I was wondering if these units are open/sage country or if they are heavily timbered. I prefer the open stuff for glassing! Thanks - Brian

I'm not from Colorado, but a quick look at the regs shows units 11 & 211 are combined, and units 22 and 31 are each distinct areas. Unit 22 could probablly be drawn with 0 points, and 31 looks like it would take a point to draw for the 3rd season. And unit 11/211 take 1 point as well.

You should be able to get a 22, with no problem.
There is open sage for glassing, also juniper draws
and flats.need to get off the road which im sure you
know.there will be deer and elk hunters there overlaping
season.

Here is a question for someone, I have looked through the 2004 Preference Points listing in the Mar/Apr 2004 issue. There is no listing for Unit 22. Is Unit 22 grouped with some other unit?
Unit 21 just west of 22 states 1/3 points(res/nr)2nd season. Then 6/7 points for (res/nr) for the 3rd season.
But there is no mention of it being combinded with Unit 22.

Brian,
Unit 22 is in the hunt recap summaries. Something like 660 1st choice apps for five hundred and something tags. Maybe you were you looking at the drawing summaries?
