Just starting some initial research for next year. I was curious if you can hunt these units doing day hunts or if it is really advantageous to stay up in the hills? Thanks - Brian

In the Greys River (Reg G)there are a lot of hunters camped along the main road and also in camp grounds along this same road.
Don't know anything about Reg. H

There are also hunters that spike camp up on the mountains, so it could be your choice as to what you want and can handle. But it is steep there so climbing everyday to the high country will take its toll on you in quick order without horses.

Killowat is right , but you can stay in Cokeville and drive to your hunting area every morning. If you are not into busting your a$$ in steep mountain area's than look into bridger -teton nat forest outside of Cokeville, lot's of rolling hill's with steep area's if you want them. Bill

They are a combination of different style type hunters. Some roadside camps that flashlight up and in every morning and the more remote type hunters with backpacks or horses or llamas that go deep for a week or so. Good animals are taken every year by all types of hunters. Probably go with what ya feel most comfortable with and enjoy if ya draw out. 'H" was 100% draw on the 'Pricey Fee', 'G' was 73%..... have fun.

Just my 2 cents. I live in Wyoming and hunt the area a lot. If you are going to do a backpack trip, you will certainly need the equipment. The lighter the better. Water is a big problem and a water purifier is a must. Also, you will want to totally bone out any animal you take, and you need to leave proof of sex attached. Most game wardens are good to deal with, but some can kind of give you a hard time at the game check stations. I've hunted both from the Grey's River and also done backpack trips. If you want to touch base, email me, I would be will to share what I know. Huntertj is also a good contact, he obviously has an in with someone, he draws a tag yearly.
