Well I just got off the Phone with the ODFW with the Oregon Guide and Outfitters tag program for the tags the guides get to market to the Non-Resident tags well lets say i am luckiest Son of a Biscuit eater in the State of Oregon. I am going to list the top 5 tags i drew i am still shaking if this illegal please let me know i will gladly edit the post i am just to excited.

#1 Hunt 171M The Juniper Muzzleloader for Oregon takes 10 or more years to draw this tag they do not even list the odds for a non resodent to draw this one
#2 Hunt 174M North Warner Muzzleloader It will take a non resident 7 yeras to draw this one.
#3 168A Trout Creek Mountains OMG the number one deer tag in the state of Oregon takes 9 years to draw this tag
#4 170R1 Hart Mtn National Antelope Refuge Archery Deer Tag this is a 6 year draw in itself.
And finally the Tag i am looking most forward to conducting is the 675T hunt i have always enjoyed taking kids hunting and the enjoyment mind you this tag is the is for youth only and takes about 5 years to draw.
I also drew tags for NE whitehorse Both warner Units the South Juniper unit and the Beattys Butte unit the wagontire unit.

This was a phenomenal draw and i am so ecstatic over it now i just have to go to work and get things situated. so the Start of the year has begun lets good luck to everyone in your upcoming draw may you be as fortunate as i was

I don't get, could you please put it in laymen term, since I just live across the boarder.....thanks

hd....i don't think i get it either....does this mean you are a guide and now you get to sell these hunts to others, or that only you can guide the folks who draw these tags? i'm sure there is an easy explanation, so calm down and explain it to us. by the way, congratulations....i think.

hey Littlefoot'

it says your hobby is trapping, any money in it any more we gave it up down here because fur business went down the toilet....?....

Yes i am a guide and i drew the most premier deer hunts in the state to sell to hunters and outdoorsman. Sorry i got rambling and confusing everyone. I am little bit estatic about my fortunate luck. but when you draw the types of tags that these are a guy cna get a little ahead of himself i figuire OhhOhh ought to be voicing up here in a minute.

Juniper is Last week in November, North Warner week before the juniper Hunt, Klamath Falls while not the greatest hunt in the world Being from there I know where the boys go to hang out and there is a good chance at a 190 class buck if we get some snow if not it will be alot of work to get a 180 class buck.
Those are the 3 late hunts The juniper Hunt is the #1 deer tag in the state manny takes over 10 years to draw it as a resident and about 14 for a non resident. I just booked my booth space for Reno I will not have a Phenomenal booth as i was a little late this year. I did not even intend to go until i found out what i drew and I was like Reno here i come so i hope to see a bunch of you guys there in Janurary.

Okay, so I have to draw one of those tags (non resident) so in nine years or so, then I have to choose you as a guide, or you drew it, so you can sell the hunt to the highest bidder. Still not getting it completely.

Manny- Trapping would be alot better if they would get these leg hold regulations changed, which I can only hope for now that Locke is on his way out.

No i already have the tag guranteed in my hand. For the Premier tags IE Trout Creeks Juniper Muzzle hunts like that will be guided the rest of the Rifle tags i am probabally gonna do Semi Guided. But whom ever buys the tag is guranteed a tag and does not have to apply. Kinda like a landowner tag Only it is Unit Wide. along with that the person can apply for the point saver in the General Draw.

Do you have a set price, or is it sort of like an auction thing. Feel free to e-mail me with any information such as your fees etc. I'm very interested in hunting Oregon. I committed to Idaho this year, but its early in the game for next year.

These are not going to be auctioned or Nothing like that. I am still working on Prices. Lance sent you an E-mail Back also. Some of these hunts are going to be Semi/Self Guided hunts. Other will be with a guide whom i hire Others i will Guide Personally. I am talking to people i know on how much i should ask for the Klamath, North Warner and the Trout Creeks Tag.
Along with the Interstate Youth Hunt.
I am unsure what i am going to charge for the Semi/Self Guided hunts in the other units i drew.

As far as the Juniper tag goes that tag I am still in awe over and i am going to test the waters with it. It being the Number one deer tag in the state and taking a minimum of 10 years to draw for a resident and over up to 20 years as a non resident and with only one Non res tag available at anytime. and there being guys with Max Points as Non residents who are still 4 years out on getting it. I am up in the air is all i will say about this tag.

I bought booth space at Reno so i have 1 month to establish a Price frame for all of the Hunts and a few other things. So if you are in Reno look me up i will be there in a booth. Do not get mad at me about not knowing what the exact prices were i was only expecting to draw the Hart Mountain Archery Tag not 3 of the Top 5 tags in the entire state of Oregon. Only tags i missed that i had applied for were the NE Whitehorse muzzleloader and the Hart Mountain Muzzleloader other then that I drew everything i applied for. Lets just say the Girl at ODFW told me to sit down when we were on the phone No guide in the History of this program has ever had the draw i was fortunate enough to pull off. So let the shock settle in and i will be able to answer your questions after my birthday which is the 30th. This is still amazing guys.

Nice for you. What does the state of Oregon get out of this deal? Hopefully enough guides put in their $$$$ to make it worth while for the dept. and more importantly the residents.
Don't want to rain on your parade, just curious.

Look forward to seeing your conclusion in about 11 1/2 months from now! Good Luck

I'm very interested in all the hunts you got, even K-falls I got famdamily over there......are you planning on selling all the hunts in Reno..?..if you figure out a price before Reno email me......thanks...Manny

Highdesert,
Not trying to be a crybaby or anything but are you telling me because you are a guide, you get a special draw - in December already. Us normal citizens don't get to draw until next June. How can the game commision even know at this point the tag numbers for any given unit. The regs don't even come out for a couple more weeks, and those are sometimes revised later when they actually do the drawing. I tried calling ODFW but nobody home. If this it true how do they actually do the draw, you just got about all the hardest to draw tags that you can get in Oregon. Just wondering how that works. If this is true you might as well buy a lottery ticket since you must be luckiest person in the world.

That whole draw deal is a bunch of poop, but whatever. You may think that those are premier units because of draw times, but there are much better units in Oregon that you don't have to wait ten years for. No matter what unit you hunt it takes time and patience. Those units like most others are getting hit hard by the cats plus the drought affects them alot more than some. We had a great year for rain and moisture this year but who knows what next year will hold. Good luck.

Manny Send me a PM we can talk.
I will be the MDF convention for the weekend. As i run around like a maniac. If any of you guys are interested in these hunts i have please PM me as i will try and talk to ya about them. Most of the Hunts will be available at Reno. and a couple will be iffy if i sell them there as i have more interst then i know what to do with them.
Dave

Hey bone what are you interested in Let me know man. I do not know exactly what i am going to charge yet but i am not going to let these tags go to waste either.
