winter scouting success?

How many of you had success after watching a winter range big buck deer and then success in harvest later in fall? We all knows we scouting big muleys in summer and harvest it successful in hunt season. so what about those in winter then next fall to harvest on same buck?
I have seen some nice bucks in winter range and never harvest it during the hunt season. Just curious about any of you that have experince.

Here in eastern Wyoming, the deer don't migrate much. Some don't move much more than whitetails. So we cna spot them this year and get them next year. But in the western part of the state, they migrate quite a ways. That's why bucks like Morty and Popeye died of old age. They would have been "whacked and stacked" if they could spot them on the winter range and get on them the next year. It just depends upon the deer migration patterns and where you live..................
