Hi guys. Been on the site a while and haven't posted until now. I am looking for info on hunting in southern utah, Particularly the Marysvale area. I am looking at hunting the Tushar mountains or Seiver plateu. Maybe Oak basin area? Anyone ever hunted here?? What are my chances of getting a decent 4x4 if I get off the roads and dayhunt?? I have only hunted Northern Utah before, never hunted Southern Zone. Also is there a ton of hunting pressure in this area?? Any info, experiences would be greatly appreciated.
thanx

Your chances are good to harvest a decent 4X4. The numbers of deer, bucks and does are down from what they were 2 or 3 years ago but there are still some nice bucks in that area. Hunting pressure is always heavy in this area even off the road. If your planning to archery hunt there will also be a spike elk hunt that overlaps the deer hunt.

Welcome Blacktail,

you have reasonable expectations
I saw a 20",3x4 on the road, close to there, during the muzzle loader & if your willing to hike up hills you should see decent buck, I hike into the more remote areas up there & typically see people anywhere you can get, if that doesn't annoy you hammer down.
