NOT ONLY WOULD I SHOOT HIM!!!

I'D MAKE THE BLOODIEST PICTURE EVER POSTED IN MM LAND!!!

THE TONGUE WOULD BE HANGING WAY OUT!!!

THERE'D BE SO FRICKEN MUCH BLOOD IN THAT SNOW NOBODY HERE WOULD LIKE IT!!!

WAIT A MINUTE,I'M IN THE WRONG STATE FOR THIS TO EVER HAPPEN,WOW I WAS HAVING A NICE DREAM THERE FOR A MINUTE!!!

THE ONLY bobcat WANTING EXACT GPS COORDINATES TO THIS BUCK,HONEYHOLE LOCATIONS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME!!!

A Dave wade print I bought this in a set of two years ago the other in the set was another huge non-typical from the juniper country. I haven't seen any of Dave's art at any of the lastest shows I wonder if he is still doing art. He had some of the biggest pick up sheds I have ever seen also.

It would be tough to get a shot off due to the fact that all of my blood would be rushing to a certain spot in my lower extremities. Boinoinoinoinoinggggggggg!

LAST EDITED ON Jan-05-05 AT 06:15AM (MST)[p]I know were a guy can find a whole bunch of Dave Wade prints if anyone is intrested. I think there is about 4-5 muledeer prints, a couple whitetail prints and a couple elk prints. PM or email me if anyone is interested.

p.s. HunterHarry, where did you get that print?

The way my luck goes, if I could get the shot off, he would fall off that cliff and break off about half the points.....but I'd have to give it a try.

That is a nice picture. I have the #15 out of 100 the from the painter dave wade.

LAST EDITED ON Jan-05-05 AT 07:03PM (MST)[p]Bambi,
I got the print from Don Schufler in Ennis Mt.
He has quite a few more.
He commisioned Dave Wade to paint that as his logo for his antler buisiness.
It is based on the Avery Buck from Nevada, with a few extras added for good measure...(400" to be exact}
Don has the original oil in his home, along with quite a few other Wade originals.
A visit with him is in a word,.....OVERWHELMING!

Harry, No doubt Don is the man when it comes to antler buying and collecting,(Sorry Maniac..but the welfare check is in the male) I was just curious why he would sell his fabulous collection to the Cabela brothers and then purchase the Burris buck. I thought he was finished with his hobby. Any insight? Thank you.

Don collected the GIANTS for 30 years.
Cabelas made him an offer he couldn't refuse!
Although he had been very successful in the past, when someone drops those kind of #'s on you ...
He still has the most amazing collection of racks and sheds and skulls..OMG!
I was dumbfounded over the things I saw in the week I spent with him!
Once a Monster Muley addict, Always a Monster Muley Addict!
PS.
You mean the Broder.
He Sold the Burris with his collection of 200+ B&C heads to Cabelas.
You gotta know they want the Broder next to the Burris!
The Bannister ain't no slouch either at about 320 B&C!

Your right, I did mean the Broder. But, Broder, Burris, Bannister, Garcia, Laird...what the hell, another wet dream! Thanks for the info.

Harry, I have some mule deer calendars back in the early to mid ninetys that portray some of Dons bucks. The background is black (been a few years since I looked at them) and the phots of the mounts are awesome. I remember trying to order the next years calendar and the guy from I believe in Idaho said they were no longer available. Do you know anything about these calendars. I'am sure I have 4 or 5 years worth of these incrediable calendars. Just thought about this and you seem to know Don quite well. Thanks

Yeah,
Unfortunatley Don only ran a limited number of those calendars.
He still has several cases of them sitting in one of his warehouses.
His collection, stories and knowledge is truly beyond belief.
He enlightened me on MANY subjects!

I visited Don's place a couple years ago & ended up spending a couple hours talking with Don & getting the grand tour. I must have caught him on a day when he wasn't busy & was in a talkative mood or else he's the nicest guy in the world - or maybe both! I wanted a particular Dave Wade print & he only had his personal one left - I didn't bother asking how much $ it would take to get it from him. He ended up showing me his other Dave Wade prints - I'd guess he has 20 different prints & is the distributor (or something) for them. He must have had 10,000 prints piled in his warehouse. He also showed me through his house where he has about a dozen of Wade's originals. He also has a couple other western art originals that are worth more than all his Wade's combined. Then he pulled out 2 new +300" mule deer racks he'd just bought.

All in all, it was one of the best couple hours of my life. I can't imagine he gives everyone the grand tour, but it's worth stopping in his place in Ennis just to peek inside his antler warehouse. Piles of antlers 20' high & 30' in diameter - simply astounding...

Don certainly seemed like one of the nicest good ol' boys ever, who loves his work & appreciated his good fortune.

The rest of the story is that I bought a different Wade print - partly because I wanted something to remind me of that great day & because the backdrop in the painting was a mountain ridge in Idaho that I've hunted. Don had picked the location & asked Dave to paint it. How cool would that be...

I tried to stress just how mind boggling my week with Don was, but words alone cannot describe it.
You gotta see it to believe it.
I been around this trophy stuff a long time, and Don's collections of Racks, Sheds, and Original oil paintings blew my f****** mind!!!!!!
200 inch typicals, 300 inch non typicals, 400 inch bulls outrageous whitetails..... and I mean uncountable numbers of them, warehouses full of antlers.
Not to mention the fact that his Lion hunters have put MANY, MANY cats into P&Y and B&C!
See it if you are ever in Ennis Montana, you will NEVER forget it!
