Just got my Jan-Feb Muley Crazy magazine and lo and behold there is an article and picture of a buck that was illegally shot on private property in the Hoback Ranch subdivision in Wyoming. I e-mailed Ryan about it and told him he could get a hold of the local game warden for the whole story. I can't believe those people sent the article into him after being busted on it.

YOU'VE GOT TO REALIZE,POACHERS AIN'T THE SMARTEST BREED IN THE WORLD!!!

LETS HEAR THE STORY???

THE ONLY bobcat WONDERING HOW MANY OF THESE JOKERS ARE OUT THERE???

Longun Mike,

How the heck do you get your issue before me, yours has to come in by horse back doesn't it? LOL
But it never fails, I always get my issure two weeks after everyone else.
How's the weather there now? Hope to see you in three weeks or so, will try to stop by on the way home.

Brian

I'd wager many of us would be surprised to know how many of the magazine trophies were taken under Suspicious circumstances. Not the majority of course, but far too many.

Bobcat, I don't know about poachers being less intelligent. I know of a poacher who produces a product that many on this site "purchase". He has made a lot of $$$ so he must have a decent level on intelligence.

Hey Brian,

We put studded snow shoes on the horses and they can really haul butt like a paddle track 900 snowmobile to outrun all that bad weather you guys are getting in California and heading this way.
Well I got done plowing the driveweay out this morning and we have just 3ft now and the wind hasn't blown yet but its starting too. Looking forward too seeing you and more than welcome to stay at our house. I got lots of firewood piled up and keeping the house nice and warm.
Did get a reply from Ryan and he appreciated the info and will be getting in touch with the people involved.
Bobcat--they shot this buck in a rural subdivision where they're
is a covenance of no hunting whatsoever. And a lot of landowners knew about that Buck and it was filmed by quite a few also. Anyway they drove in there and whacked it, the local game warden found out investigated and the guy showed him where he killed it
and confiscated it. Then at the hearing they pleaded guilty and wondered if they could get the horns back and the judge said "NO"
so they made a big whine story in the local Pinedal Paper how they got railroaded. Anyway they got fined and will be spending some "quiet time" from hunting in Wyoming for a while. These people were locals too. I should of kept a copy of the article but that kind of crap happens all the time around here, but when somebody tries to get recognition in a magazine about that I will make a stink. I don't go for that kind of crap. Besides I didn't think the buck was that great, I've seen a hell of a lot bigger bucks than that around here and nobody knows about them except me and the wife.

Well, that goes to show that some guys have no bounderies to their self glory and self promotion. OR, to get in a big name magazine at whatever cost. Pretty pathetic, huh?

Longun,
Could you tell us which story???? details man....hows the snow in your part of WY? We finally got a little whitestuff in my part..

I've heard about poached deer. Hope Ryan does the right thing and lets everyone know about the story in his next issue.
