Antelope Island ?

I have lived in Utah for a number of years, but I have never been to Antelope Island. My dad is coming into town this week, and I would like to take him out there, do some looking around, and hopefully spot a few big bucks. Are there deer out there I can look at? Do they let you on the Island in the winter? Does it cost any money? Once I am there, are there roads that I can drive around on to spot deer? Any information would help.
Thanks,
Soup
P.S. Sorry that there is no whining or talking trash about anyone in this post. I realize that it is January, and I am living in Utah, but I just couldn't think of any good whines right now. :D

LAST EDITED ON Jan-14-05 AT 06:49AM (MST)[p]There are not many roads out there. The road that goes from the north end of the island from the causeway down to the south end along the east side of the island is closed at certain times during the year. I think mainly during the calving season for the bison. There is a hiking trail to Frary Peak from the road. There are also several other hiking trails from the north end of the island if the road is closed. More likely than not you will need to get out and hike to see the deer.
