LAST EDITED ON Jan-31-05 AT 08:36PM (MST)[p]WOW! Cant wait for the story and net score!

Wow. The back forks appear shallow, then I realized, its just cause he's so friggin gigantic!

HOLY WOW!!! That buck is an absolute HAWG!! That is what dreams are made of......Congrats to the lucky hunter who had the chance to harvest such an AMAZING animal!! Cant wait to hear all the details about this one!!

That piss cutter is almost perfect! Congratulations to the lucky nimrod. Love that camo and smile on his face.

holy hell. with all the monsters coming out of mexico i was wondering when someone would challenge the world record. that's just an awesome buck.

Congratulations to the hunter.

Beautiful buck.

Its got to be fake!!! The guy in the picture is not happy enough for it to be real.
There is no sign of a mortal wound. It probably died of natural causes.
Too many deductions from the two non-typical points on the browtines.
Its too wide (and heavy) to be legal.
The ears are too droopy.
Looks like a coues.
Obviously fed steriods.
Congratulations on a magnificent animal. That is the one we are all dreaming of.

P.S. Do you have to buy Spanish deer calls when you hunt in Mexico, or do the English ones from the States work?

It's a nice one. No more weiner shots. They're kids on this site. Have a little respect. I can handle a little blood or tounge but...........J/K. I couldn't resist.

Good point about the weiner KNOPHISH. If that was this bucks real head gear, the wang on him would have been a lot bigger (and probably on the hunter too, for that matter).

THESE PICS ARE THE REAL DEAL BOYS, THIS DEER IS A HOG. THERIDGE WHY WOULD YOU CALL JASON A NIMROD?? DO YOU KNOW HIM?? I DO NOT KNOW HIM WELL BUT I HAVE SPENT TIME IN ELK CAMP WITH HIM AND KNOW HE IS A VERY ACCOMPLISHED HUNTER THAT DESERVES CONGRADULATIONS ON ONE OF THE BIGEST TYPICAL BUCKS EVER TAKEN. I CANT UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE CANT JUST SAY CONGRADULATIONS AND HAVE TO TALK ##### ABOUT ONE HUNTERS TROPHY OF A LIFETIME. GOOD JOB JASON THAT IS TRULY ONE HELL OF A BUCK....

GEOFF LLOYD

Coueskiller,
I hope you are joking around a little like the rest of us. Of course the deer is a hog. No it doesn't really look like a coues or a fake. I'm sorry if your feelings have been hurt.
Soup
P.S. I can't speak for what theridge meant, but I do know that Nimrod was a mighty hunter from Genesis in the bible.
Genesis 10: 9
He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod, the mighty hunter before the LORD.

(just maybe he was complimenting the hunter)

soup my feelings are not hurt i just think some of the joking and kidding around is uncalled for and i hope it is all meant in kindness, i just dont see why we all just cant say congrats. and a job well done on such an awesome buck.

Nimrod in the dictionary means something like "great white hunter" and that's how I took it in that thread. just my .02

Anyway, upon seeing the pictures of this buck.......................................................................................I guess I'm speechless.
Congrats to the hunter!!!

MY BAD, EXCUSE ME FOR NOT KNOWING THE CORRECT DEFINITION OF NIMROD, I GUESS WE ARE ALL A BUNCH OF NIMRODS. AGAIN I APPOLIGIZE. I WISH WE ALL HAD THE CHANCE TO HARVEST A TROPHY LIKE THAT IN OUR LIFE TIME.

GEOFF LOYD

YES, I was complimenting the hunter. Thank you soupcreek for explaining what a nimrod is. The hunter did a hell of a job and has my utmost respect. What a beauty!

Appoligy not needed. I'd want you, Geoff, on my team if we went to war. I'am sure you'd be a dedicated friend and comrade.

That buck is perfect!!!!!and huge!!!!!!! Congrats to the hunter.

I crossed the border at Sasabe, AZ. on the 25th and the customs people said that a (sports writer) from the phoenix area had crossed with the biggest mule deer they had ever seen a few days earlier. I wonder if this is it?

Holy smokes! That is one huge SOB. I saw one I thought was like this, but it couldn't have been this big. I am afraid my little buck won't compare. What a fantastic animal this buck is.

My son called me a half hour ago and said he was holding it in his hands............... and it's even bigger than it looks. Amazing buck.

ok i give up. I can not get these pics to show. Only ones on the whole dang site. Could somebody be kind enough to email them to me. appreciate the help

I want an opionion from anybody. If you had a choice to harvast a buck like this, but you could never hunt deer again, would you do it. I would have to think about it, because I will probably never get anything even close to that.

If I had that deer in my cross hairs when I was told that it would be a difficult decision. Sitting here at my computer, I say hell no. And I'm guessing the answer would be the same for the guy that killed the buck. It's all about the hunt.
Congrats to the hunter on an incredible animal. I really respect the fact that he released the pictures right away for everybody to enjoy instead of selling them to the highest bidder.

BUMP!!! Couldnt let a buck of this quality get off of the front page!! I still cant get over how AWESOME this buck is!!!

TUFF

There is a significant danger in staring too long at this buck, and it is this: He will make other very respectable deer look like dinks, and you may never take another buck holding out for one like that bad boy! I am in awe of that animal and wishing I was the lucky dog that came across him with a rifle in my hands.

That is truly the most beautiful deer I have ever seen. My brother told me he was posted here. I bet he tastes a little spicey, coming from south of the border and all.

That is one of the best deer I have ever seen to come out of Old Mexico. A huge congratulations goes out to Jason for harvesting the deer of several lifetimes.
