What do you guys think about these binos. any in the field experience. good or bad. I was thinking if i have a good spotting scope, i wouldn't need the variable power binos. How about the trinovids and the utravids. Is their a big difference in clarity between these binos.

thanks

I have been using Leica 9X35 for years, the glass is great, very clear.
I have used them for hours on end with no eye fatigue, which is what you look for in a pair of binos.
I am finding as I get older my eyes are getting bad, so I am getting ready to make a change to full size binos.
I have looked them all over and feel the Swarovski EL series is the best for me, they are so clear they make me feel I have 20 year old eye again.
I fell the fixed power is the best and carry a spotting scope for distance. I use a Swarovski 20 X 60 spotting scope and love it, but I also have a weaver fixed power spotting scope, It is only 20 power but it has great glass, and is very cheap.
I use the Weaver when we pack into the high county, It is very small and light and weight is a issue when your packing in on a high hunt.
Good Luck.

I just bought a pair of the duovids, 10-15x50's, very impressed so far. The clarity and sharpness are amazing, I love being able to crank up the power for some long range glassing. Even with the 15x though I would still carry a spotting scope if you are able.Don't know much about the ultravids and others but I know the Leica line is usually great no matter what you get.
