Help Pick The Big Buck Contest Winner!

I like ryans 203 archery buck due to the patiance that the hunter indured to harvest this buck. Any archer knows sitting at 30 yrds for 3 hours to get a shot to say the least on your knees is the most nerve racking experiance you can go through.

>I saw this Buck in person - it's one of the biggest typical 4 points ever shot in Utah!

RE: Bobby's Big 4

It's very tough to pick just one. These are my favorite 7 bucks in order. My choices have nothing to do with the hunts or the hunters. These are just my favorite bucks. The first 4 could have all been first place really. It was very tough deciding between them.

These are all GREAT BUCKS! Big time congratulations to all of you!

1st Craig's Big Typical Muley
2nd Big Bucks for Danny and Shan
3rd Massive Muley for Lee
4th Bobby's Big 4
5th Doug's Monster Muley
6th New UT State Record Muley
7th Jeff's Droptine Muley

RE: Bobby's Big 4

Bobby's buck is huge, but my vote is for 196 wyoming buck for Sky

LAST EDITED ON Mar-02-05 AT 10:54AM (MST)[p]I like Steve big wyoming 4x4
This is a nice 33 inch buck and it's good to see a kid that had so much fun on his first big hunt.

My vote is for Bobby's Big 4. This is a stunning buck that has been officially scored for B & C at 197 7/8 and is 32 7/8" wide x 26" tall.

With the help of local business, family, and friends, Bobby had amassed a vote of more than 359 in the Big Buck contest which was cancelled because someone cheated. It seems to me that if this was a reputable site, with reputable ownership and management, that person who cheated would have been disqualified and the votes of those who had worked hard to earn them would have maintained their votes. Instead, those faithful supporters are having to play the vote-by-forum-game with a system that won't allow them to access the voting without disclosing their e-mail address.

This seems like a scam to me! BEWARE!

Bobby's Big 4

Hazel Smith votes for Bobby's Big 4. I am Bobby's grandmother and I can't wait to hear how she does in the contest.

Wow, that's some mean words. I'll be OK. The contest voting was cancelled for valid reasons.

Anyway, folks, vote for the MOST IMPRESSIVE buck please. This is not a popularity contest. We need to pick the Most Impressive Buck to win the contest. Take a look at the photos and help us out.

If this is a big buck and big bull contest then the biggest buck and biggest bull should win!!!. What's so tough about that.

Bobby's Big 4

I think Bobby's Big 4 is one of the most beautiful bucks every shot in Northern Utah.

Hands down, this is quite an achievement. Bobby is 23 year-old gal that shot this monster in only her second year of hunting. You didn't post an article for her, however, she was on her way to a nail appointment and decided at the last minute to take her gun with her. She was accompanied by her mother, grandmother, and nephew.

Upon spotting the deer, she army-man crawled to a site where she had a good view of the buck and made an impressive shot. There was little cover to protect her and she took the shot in the early-afternoon hours.

This isn't a popularity contest, you're right. THIS IS SIMPLY THE MOST IMPRESSIVE BUCK IN THE CONTEST----AT LEAST TO ME AND TO THE OTHER 359 PEOPLE WHO VOTED FOR HER IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Bobby has made herself known locally by approaching businesses and asking them to 1. GO TO YOUR WEBSITE; 2. look at the bucks and then vote. She carries a picture of her buck with her and most people are simply surprised by her story and have gleefully offered her their support.

Monstermuleys.com has benefited by her efforts in that hundreds of people who might otherwise have not visited your site and become familiar with your work have now been introduced to you.

Monstermuleys.com should appreciate every voter from every one of the featured bucks. I like your site and its content but feel that there has been a gross mishandling of this process.

One question: Was the individual who cheated disqualified from the contest?

Sincerely,

J. Bunn

Kudos for kingfish

I have to admit.....he's right.

If you ask for a vote then you are asking for the subjective opinions of others. The voters spoke.

If, however, the goal is to award the largest deer and elk, then it isn't rocket science to determine who wins.....use the official B & C score for typical and non-typical with a bridge scale to offset any differences between the two categories. Then you truely will award the big buck.

We'd all probably be surprised who wins at that point.

I'm going to have to go with the 196 Wyoming Buck For Sky. Deeeeeep forks, bladed tine, nice symmetry!

RE: Bobby's Big 4

First of all I don't think this contest was meant to be a big buck contest, simply to tell us which one scores the best. It is meant to be the most impressive buck contest which doesn't mean it has to be big just impressive in looks. It is hard to get a real judgement on how big the deer in the pictures actually are because of the different angles and how the people are showing them off. I don't want to take anything away from Bobby's Big 4 because that is one heck of a buck and I'll admit I was impressed however that buck to me is no bigger than Danny's big typical or a couple others, but boy the picture makes it look big. The other thing, the contest should be voted upon as people who aren't notified to go vote. What is it an election? That should constitute disqualification, the only problem being is you don't know how many others are doing this. I mean after all is it that important to win. Be able to sit back and take a look and say yeah that other guy man he shot an impressive buck. Let the votes turn out how they are going to turn out. One thing that everybody should take into fact also is there are lots of typicals and bucks with few cheaters taken each year, but very few bucks are unique in their own way. In this respect Sam's unique trophy is an awesome buck, not everybody in fact very few if anymore will take a buck anything like that. Or a droptine buck is rear. Just let the voting turn out how does and don't try to run your score up.

RE: Bobby's Big 4

Just like huntervig said, I am voting for the deer that I think is the most impressive in my mind. It may not be the one that scores the highest B&C but it is the deer that I would take just by personnal preference. If I had all the bucks that were entered in this contest in front of me and I could take any one of them, the first one that I would pull the trigger on is Walters Nevada Monster Muley. Not to take anything away from anybody else that had a buck to choose from, that is just my personnal favorite from what the options are. Bobbie's big 4 is a monster, don't get me wrong, that thing is an impressive animal. I personnaly like the looks of non-typ's and that is probably why I would choose that buck. Great job to all of you though on some very fine animals. Congratulations!

RE: Bobby's Big 4

Beardog OUTHOUSE,

Quit your damn bawlin!! And I thought 'OL BESSY could whine. I think I will vote for Bobby's buck (if that is all right with you")? Besides, its a vote for the most "impressive" buck.

The only bobcat wondering if outhouse has an extra box of Kleenex!!!!!!

Let me first state that EVERY deer entered in the contest is and of itself a trophy animal, and every contestant has the right to be extremely proud of their good fortune to harvest such an animal. Having said that,I thought the contest was not going to be based soley on the size of the trophy, but rather a combination of the size of the animal, the quality of the photo taken, and the story that accompanied it. If I recall correctly the contest rules stated " Take great photos!!! Your trophy should be set up and presented well. Avoid sitting on its back in the photo and try to clean up the blood. Also, the photo MUST be an "In The Field" picture." In my mind, and as so clearly stated in the rules, an "In The Field" picture is just that.

There are truly some magnificant bucks that were entered in the contest. However, there is clearly a difference between the "biggest" deer, and the one that has the best combination of photo, story, and size. If it's truly just size go by B&C.

RE: Bobby's Big 4

I am kinda partial to ?Jeff?s Huge Droptine Muley?, but my vote is for Steve's Big Wyoming 4x4. I cannot wait for the day when everything I have taught my son and daughter comes together and is able to harvest a buck like that. Congratulations to all of the hunter?s that harvested some very fine animals this past season. That is what this contest is about, not soliciting votes to win a contest. J Koker

There are quite a few impressive deer on this list, but my favorite deer and the one that gets my vote is the "196 Wyoming buck for Sky". This is one unique set of antlers on this buck. The palmation on the deer's left side combined with the mass, and DEEP forks make this deer one of a kind.

RE: Bobby's Big 4

I would like to vote for Bobby's Big 4. I think this is an impressive Buck!

Lee Frudden's buck has got my vote. Gotta like that Mass From Hell. :):)

I SURE LIKE THE LOOKS OF BOBBIES BIG 4. I THINK ITS NEAT THAT A GAL CAN SHOOT SOMETHING THAT I CAN ONLY DREAM ABOUT. MAYBE SOMEDAY...

Holy crap people, just pick the buck," YOU THINK IS THE MOST IMPRESSIVE" and stop your damn whining. Especally you Bearsdogsouthouse.

The buck I find most impressive is " Dougs monster muley".

Man that was hard, I almost felt the urge to cry about something.

My vote goes for the 196 buck for sky. I love the rack configuration and the photo. I would have voted for bobbys big 4 but it wasnt an in the field photo and i dont like the way the legs were cut off in the photo.

Put me down for Craig's big typical muley.

You should name this site something like Monster Muleys! Good grief!!!!:)

Steve

I've got to agree with NvrEnuf on the top 4. Craig's typical is the squarest, most symmetrical typ I've ever seen. Also, Danny's four is unreal!

Steve's big Wyoming 4x4. Photos with big bucks are always even better with kids!

I personally like Jeremiahs archery buck, all those extras do something for me.

I vote for Bobby's big 4. I can't believe she shot it on
her way to get her nails done. What a nice buck and a great
story. Way to go Bobby.

Massive Muley for Lee

That mass just does it for me. Score is not important.
I agree with the fact that this is not strictly a big buck/bull contest but "Most Impressive". For me that means as the rules state, a good quality IN THE FIELD PHOTO. Lee photos is a great picture. No odd angles, he's not sitting 5 feet behind the antlers, good light, good quality shot of a truly incredible deer. Congrats Lee on a great buck.

Congrats to everyone that made it into the contest, you all have some GREAT muleys!! I wouldn't hesitate to take any of them.

RE: Massive Muley for Lee

Can I vote for them all? haha There are too many that impress me so I guess my vote will go to the mass...Lee F's buck
YB

RE: Massive Muley for Lee

This post must be setting a record for "1 post wonders". Hmmmmmmm... ;-)
Brent's 230 gross archery buck gets my vote.

RE: Bobby's Big 4

I would like to vote for Bobby's Big 4. I think it is a great looking buck!

As far as impressiveness w/o worrying about score only, I'll take Lee Frudden's ultra massive and looks to be 30"+ buck anyday.
