M1 and Sealer, IMO is what I said, to me the short mags will always hold a place in someones gun safe but not mine they are a passing fad till another one comes along, one guy said it best on here a while back and I will never forget it, he called it Boddington Hysteria! These gun writers put up the hype and there a new ticket for a while and then they are forgotten when another new item comes out, just like me I got a 223wssm shot it and it sets in my safe, don't care for the way it feeds, now they can't even give them away, sure there are some that still buy it but for the most part it won't sell, why? well low and behold here come the 204, new kid on the block so all the others in that class become relics except the 22/250 it will never die. Don't know how old you guys are, but here's an example...how many of these do you rememmber?...lets start with the varmit class...17K Hornet,218 Bee,220 Arrow, 222 Ackley,22/250 Ackley,222 Rem,222 Rem Mag,22 Sav,244 Rem,25-20,6.5 jap, hell my dad killed alot of deer with a 25-35 back in the day, see what I mean they were all hot at one time now just forgotten relics...how about the hunting class...250 Sav,257 Roberts,30/30, 30 Rem,300 Sav,308 Win,30/40 Krag,7.62 Russian,303 British,32 Win,8m/m,35 Rem,358 WIn and on it goes, I often wonder what the next big item will be that everyone just has to have? And if the gun writers put the spin on it , it will be another one that we all just have to have, most will buy it, modify it, judge it and that determines if it lives or dies and becomes another great caliber with longevity or collects dust!...Greg
