This is a picture of my friends son and his 2004 buck. He says he wants a bigger buck next year. His dad offered to buy him a quality conservation bull elk tag next year, his son Chad replied, "NO, I want to kill a bigger buck first". Him turning down a qulaity elk tag tells me one thing, "He's hooked on muleys!!!"

Way to go to Chad. Those muleys will get to you.Dont count out your dads offer of an Elk tag though. You might not be able to understand it but your dad will enjoy your hunts and successes as much as if not more than his own. When my Dad and I hunted he always would say when the buck came his way,(I wish youd have got the chance instead of me son).I didnt know what he meant fully until my boys started hunting with me.Took my son to Wyoming when he was 15 and eventhough we both had tags I was more than satisfied with the trip when I spotted the 5 point he ended up killing.I didnt fire a shot that trip but I didnt care.My Father is gone now but I remember every minute we have spent hunting and I live them over and over. Big Louis
