Colorado Bonus Points

Does anybody know where I can get information on how many bonus points it takes to draw in Colorado for deer and elk? Does the Colorado Division of Wildlife have a booklet or information on the web? I thought I saw a booklet once that had all the units listed in it along with the bonus points needed to draw the unit.

It doesn't matter what units have taken to draw before this year because the draw odds will go through the roof this year with all the hype. Guys that have been stacking points for years are letting them burn a hole in their collective pockets and are set to use them up. I don't believe last years draw odds will even be close to what they will be after this years draw.

But since you asked, they are available on the DOW's website which can be accessed of a link on this sites home page.

Colorado has preference points not bonus points. Most points draw first and only in the order of most points, not accumulated random chances.

I recommend you subscribe to Colorado Outdoors, the bi-monthly magazine from the Colorado Division of Wildlife. Aside from not costing much, it will send you annually a recap of prior year's draw by species and game management unit. It will also keep you informed on alot of issues which I think you would find interesting in wildlife management in Colorado. Call the DOW at (303) 297-1192 or go online and you should find info on this magazine. The DOW website by the way is spectacular, and it updates almost daily.
