Hello all - another FNG here. Great site you've got! I've been hunting deer since I was 10 here in Washington. Fortunately I had a father, grandfather and several uncles that all hunted together throughout my childhood and still hunt together today. Lots of great memories and stories. I just found out I drew a non-resident deer tag for Montana, so I'm already in "hunting mode". This will be my second trip over there, and I can't wait.

I hope to both contribute to and learn from all of you. Good luck to everyone this year.

WWH,
You have my tag! Just kidding, welcome aboard and you can and will enjoy this site the more you visit us here and contribute to the Forums.

Brian - luck is the word! We put in as a party of five, with one bonus point avg. I drew in 2003 on my first try, but couldn't put in last year due to baby twins born last spring. We'll be hunting in the Jordan area mid-November. I'm stoked!

I also might have an angle for a new deer rifle this year! My wife doesn't know what to get me for my birthday, and it's our 10-year anniversary this August. I think in exchange for a bigger diamond I could weasel a combined b-day/anniversary gift for myself? My fingers are crossed!

Welcome to the site. What part of Washington are you from. I live in Olympia.I drew Montana tags in 2003 and 2004 but my luck ran out this year and no tag for me. Maybe next year. Good luck in MT this year.

Sweet, another FNG

Congrats on the draw and welcome to the site!

Thanks for the welcome, folks. I'm another "wet-sider" from Tacoma. Maybe that's why I love hunting the high open country for Muleys ... busting the brush for Blacktails in a driving rainstorm isn't what it used to be for me. ;)

Welcome WWH,

Being from northern CA, I share your thoughts on Blacktails (only we seldom get the rain, but plenty of thick brush)

Good bunch of very passionate, knowledgable mule deer hunters here.

Good luck on your Montana hunt, and your birthday/anniversory:)

Welcome from another fellow Washingtonian. I'm a Rainier boy and drive to Lakewood every day. Some damn fine hunting and fishing around here!

Welcome, Tacoman! I live in Tacoma too. Good luck in Montana! I'll be in Wyoming hopefully!

How funny, I work in T-town too, maybe one day we should do a MM luncheon here, that would be great. Send a PM if you are interested, I don't mind organizing one, we could all bring some pics and tell some lies to help get us through the workday.

I was raised in Lakewood and still work in Tacoma. Mainly in the beautiful Tideflats.

Another Tacoma boy here. Worked there for 28 years...now just live there. A get together would be great! Pictures, stories, hunt talk, what could be better?

Hey Wa_Wiki_
Welcome aboard. A great site to say the least. I was wondering by the way you set up your User name with the underscores. Are you GIS user? Like ArcView GIS. Just curious.
