Anyone NE for mulies? Any suggested outfitters or ranchers who'd allow a trespass hunt? I'd love to check it out this fall and time is slipping away on me. Any information or suggestion is appreciated.

I've been trying for over a decade to find a good spot in Nebraska. I outfitted ther efor 5 years and finally gave up. There are not many big muleys in Nebraska, but it can be a fun place to hunt. There are a few outfitters that have solid deer, but I don't know of a single rancher that allows trespass hunts and has good deer. The best thing to do might be to try the Game and Parks personnel and then the Chamber of Commerce in an area that interests you. I only live an hour's drive from Nebraska and I can't find a spot, so I can't make any helpful promises.

As is the case in most areas, the best places are leased by outfitters or held very closely for family and friends.

Good luck and if I can help, shoot me a pm.

hey Plannerman,
My dad has had a ranch on the pine ridge for 30+ years and has some contacts. I have driven up there and hunted for the last six years. Saw quite a few Muleys there last year and the neighbor got a nice one. There is one guy I met up there who sells hunts ( reasonable, i think). I think he has a small house for hunters to stay in, but no meals or anything. send me a PM and I'll see what i can find out. My dad has his place for sale, so I'm not sure I'll ever get to hunt up there again. Super hunting though. Whitetails, muleys, tons of turkeys and some huge Elk. Its hard to look at four 6x6's and a 7x8 standing together and know that you will never get a tag for them. That afternoon was a close as I'll ever get to shooting something without a tag, Of course, I didn't, but I'd be lying if I said it didn't cross my mind ( a few times). Still neat to see bulls like that so close.
