I'm at the end of my rope with the NDOW. I know an outfitter that lost his guide license for his involvment in a poaching incident. After the NDOW revoked his license he continued to operate his guide bussiness. I along with others have given the NDOW stacks of evidence showing he continued to violate the law while on revocation. They ignored the evidence and reinstated his license. The head game warden told me they were going to ignore everything and start him with a clean slate. When asked what would happen if we did the same things, they said they would prosecute us. I'm open to sugestions on where to go now.

Wes,

I've read your posts for a long time and always enjoyed them and have always thought you were a straight shooter. From a completely impartial viewpoint, this story strikes me as "missing" something. There could only be two explanations, either you are leaving something out or this guy is really well connected and your F&G is corrupt.

If I were you and this is all accurate I would be talking to my local and state representatives.

Or find Claude Dallas and have him help.

'FIND CLAUDE DALLAS AND HAVE HIM HELP',LMFAO!!!

I THINK IT DEPENDS ON WHO YOU ARE IN THIS WORLD!!!

THE ONLY bobcat WONDERING IF ANYBODY KNOWS WHERE CLAUDE MIGHT BE OR IS THE DWR WONDERING THE SAME THING???

WES,

Are you at liberty to say WHO this Outfitter is and what business name also? Then maybe a lot of those here that hunt/or would like to draw there, can also send letters to the F&G or even better yet, maybe hit Reid again with this nonsense on the fellow.

D13 shows that he is an a** for even saying something along those lines. I'll leave it at that.

Wes, I would like to say that I am a nonresident and I really don't care how hosed a Nevada Outfitter gets. Nevada outfitters take an unfair portion of the tag allotment. It equates to welfare at other nonresidents' expense. I think you should pose the question to other Nevada outfitters and not those of us hoping to draw a tag with horrible odds because we don't need our hand held while hunting.

Packout,
I know you are a good guy and know your stuff about Wildlife.

Wess asked for our thoughts on a "Specific" issue in how to deal with a dis-honest outfitter / and the NVDOW. In no way did he deserve the response you gave him.

Even if I also thought that Wyoming and Nevada give alot of tags to outfitters, this was not the post to say so. Wess was only asking for our help on how to handle a certain situation.

I am a Non-resident to Nevada and was looking for info on a certain area's to bow hunt. I received many emails from Wess and a phone call on what the different areas, terrain, deer herd sizes, etc were for the area's I was looking at.

In providing me this information, Wess knew the whole time that I was not interested in hiring an outfitter. Heck, he even told me some of the honey holes since he only outfitting rifle hunts.

Geeze, I thought were were all hunters here to help one another.

Flame someone else who deserves it!

Bet me, if you were a Neveada Outfitter you would not be complaing about the tags. It's all about the hand we are dealt and how we deal with it. I do not like the tax system, but am to lazy to do much about it. If you want more tags, I hope you are successful in dealing with the NVDOW. Good Luck.

Any lions get killed in the area??

Nevada outfitters don't TAKE anything! The tags they get are given according to the regulations. If you don't like the regulations, push for a change or go somewhere else and hunt. Actually, the tags aren't given to outfitters, they are given to hunters who have to draw them. Don't trash a man who is trying to do things legally.

Wes, I don't know the answer to your question. Just keep doing business as you always have and things will work out in the end.

Elkslyr- I will take your post to heart and say that YES, this was not the post to voice my frustrations. I have seen Wes' posts and he is a decent guy. I guess I just get frustrated at the odds this time of year because I don't need someone holding my hand.

Wes- I would say give the information you have to the district attorney and let them go with it from there. Sometimes the right thing isn't always done by our law enforcement, but the public doing the right thing is never wrong. (And I know you are an ethical outfitter working within the parameters of the system)

There are two sides to this story and I don't really think that wes should go any further with this. This outfitter did pay a price for what happened and wes and his partner had a good time hunting in his area while he was away. That is all that I have to say about this and hopefully you can deal with this dilema that you have on your own-not here!

Well Trent there's only one side to this story and thats the truth that you don't know anything about. It's quite obvious that since you work for this outfitter that you believe what you've been told. I'm not going to argue the case here with you. I worked for him also, I know the facts because I've seen them first hand. Until you know ALL the facts you should just keep quiet.

I love soap operas here on Monster Muleys dot com. Maybe this outlaw outfitter turned in some heavy duty info and was involved in a much larger sting????

Just lemme know what area he hunts and i'll take care of it.

I am not one to start the rumor mill but this topic hits close to home. The guide service that Wes is talking about took me for a ride. I had a deposit with them for a hunt. When I learned that his licenses was suspended I tried to contact him to request my deposit back. He could not hold up his side of the contract, so I was going to find another guide that could. He would not return any of my numerious phone calls, letters, regestered letters. I called Fish and Game and asked there advise and they told me that I would have to sue him in court to get my $ back. This was two years ago, till this day I have never heard fom him. I am not a rich man, and I have to work hard for my money and this really hurt.

I have nothing to gain from this post, I just hope it saves another person from the frustration that I have had.

This is the guide,
