I've never worn a helmet while driving my ATV, my wife bought me one for christmas so I probably should start wearing it. Anyone have any recommendations on a helmet mounted light? I typically wear a nice light on my head when driving my atv in the dark but they wont' work with a helmet on.

Thanks

I have History in: Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. California. A Fantastic place. Pig Hunting is great + Girls are everywhere. So is the Beach. I distracted myself.

For myself, this link is NOT helpful but: I bet, young Internet Searchers enjoy the video :-(

Here is my most simple answer which is "STUDY" things.

You (ANYONE READING THIS) can easily have your own Helmet Lighting Company if, only if... you care to study. Better yet, give "Your Wife" ( A Female which is far better than any Male ) this Post. She will likely do far more with it than any other.

Bean, I know you are Intelligent. Why not MAKE some folks STUDY. IE: Make America the Land of Opportunity by, Hard Work.

Jag, aren't you arrogant.

What makes you think I haven't studied the various options on the market. I'm looking for recommendations or feedback from guys that have used various products.

Fred, the light system that uses the go pro mounting system is manufactured by Oxbow, certainly an option.

Well good luck in your quest. From what I've seen you are going to have to modify any headlamp you can find to attach it to a DOT helmet.
And not to beat a dead horse, but some of the new light bars throw a pretty wide beam.

Nah, a gopro mount will stick on the helmet anywhere you want. I use a Gloworm X3 2500 lumen on my helmet. It's really nice to have a light that tracks what you are looking at or, if you are on a trail with lots of turns, to light of those paths that a straight ahead light doesn't. Having lights mounted at two different heights also does wonders for depth perception.
