How many of those have you seen? It's a desert... NVB? Homer?

Very cool. I havent seen any but know of others that have and I have seen pictures. Mostly have come from one NV unit on the California border and I believe also on the California side as well.
What general area was this in?
 
Clark mountains hunt zone in cali has them.....just west of whiskey pete's....I have seen 2 rams....25 years ago

Nowhere near California but transplant genetics are probably a possibility. It's a young ram, I hope he lives, make somebody a hell of a trophy in another 3 or 6 years. I wonder if the predators bother them more though? Since they stand out like a neon light in their surroundings...

He's in a good spot to survive the human factor elk. Unless he gets that wanderlust come breeding season...
